Jon Vachon was adopted from South Korea and raised in central Vermont. After earning a BFA in filmmaking from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Jon transitioned to still photography, inspired by travels throughout Latin America documenting the people and cultures.
Jon is currently based in Brooklyn, NY photographing documentary stories and portraiture for a wide range of editorial and commercial clients. In 2021 he was awarded as an American Photography 37 Chosen Winner and in 2020, received an honorable mention in the International Photography Awards (IPA).
